To support the Chief Actuary in all aspects of the regulatory valuation, realistic reporting and capital management responsibilities; includes providing embedded value support to the business. 1. Prepare reports for the Chief Actuary, and draft Reports to the Board, Executive and various Board or Executive Committees and Forums as appropriate. 2. Lead, direct and coach the members of the Capital Management team, completing performance reviews in line with Society guidelines. 3. Assist with recruitment for the Actuarial Services department and provide appropriate training and study monitoring for the actuarial trainees on the Capital Management team. 4. Review the output from the Capital Management team to ensure that the work is completed accurately and within timescales. 5. Manage the operational risk for the Capital Management team by maintaining appropriate controls, establishing detailed documentation and dealing with audit issues in a timely manner. 6. Deal with relevant non-standard queries from internal and external customers. 7. Undertake other project work as required.
