Qualified actuary sought with an expert understanding of Life Office products and financial dynamics. Key accountabilities include: • Provide expertise and support to the Head of Actuarial and Director of With Profits Management. • To draft board papers and provide detailed recommendations to be reviewed by Head of Actuarial and Director of With Profits Management. • To lead projects with a strong actuarial bias. • To prepare and monitor the AOP for the actuarial cost centres. • To review the actuarial assumption recommendations for the year end and half year basis. • Ensure that solutions to strategic business initiatives, which have financial implications (e.g. customer initiatives, corporate structure changes) are provided. • Assess and coordinate Life Division responses to FSA consultation papers, BAS draft standards etc • To ensure that the Life entities remain compliant with prudential actuarial regulations by monitoring the impact of regulatory change on treatment of investments and the impact of changes in the investment portfolio • Identify and mitigate risk within the actuarial function. • To act in accordance with TCF Principles and to consider TCF in managing the business of the group and to promote a TCF culture.
