Key accountabilities include:
- Reporting responsibilities includes running actuarial models, checking assumption parameters, and providing commentary on the results. The role holder will assist the team manager in planning developments for a valuation and ensuring that they are completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Responsible for management and development of a number of members within the team. These responsibilities include setting objectives (in consultation with the team manager), 1:1s and performance appraisals. The role holder will support the team manager in implementing any management initiatives.
- Provide input into setting the team timetable for a valuation or other significant piece of work and provide input into resource planning.
- Support the team manager in planning and managing the transition of work from other sites. The role holder should expect to spend some time away from Wythall as part of this process.
- Support the team manager in improving processes within the team including streamlining the processes, improving the control environment and improving relationships between the team and other teams (both inside and outside of actuarial reporting).
- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and controls of processes.
Prior Life experience essential.
